When tye dying how do you keep the white parts white? I wash mine and they turn blue!!?

I use soda ash and let them dry completly before I rinse. Do I leave them banded or not??When tye dying how do you keep the white parts white? I wash mine and they turn blue!!?
leave the item banded and dyed for a good 6 hours or so.

Dont remove the bands before you rinse.

rise first in cold water with some sort of detergent added, then again in warm, then hot water.

leave the item to drip dry a little before removing all the bands.

you can use the same techniques on some colored clothes with bleach.

I usually take time to pull the item back into shape and dry it flat for the first dry after dye.

if you want more white parts, use less dye. for less white, use more dye and squeeze it right into the folds. When tye dying how do you keep the white parts white? I wash mine and they turn blue!!?
Yes leave them banded!!

it will help keep the color in!! and not wash out!
