Is it ok to wash off motor and etc parts under the hood of a car with a spray hose?

Everything got sprayed with antifreeze and the smell is awful so I need to know how to clean all this stuff. Is it ok to wash off motor and etc parts under the hood of a car with a spray hose?
You can use the pressure washer at a car wash, just attempt to avoid getting the pressurized spray on/in the distrubitor, and the air throttle body intake! You might place a plastic bag over each before you start spraying! Do the soap spray first, then rinse! Remember to remove the bags when you are done spraying! Is it ok to wash off motor and etc parts under the hood of a car with a spray hose?
Spraying is fine. I prefer to do it in the morning before it's run and then let it sit and dry for 30 minutes before starting. I clean mine at least once a month with degreaser followed by a water rinse. A clean engine runs cooler and the wiring and hoses last longer..
Uh, yeah. First thing to do is check your local ordinaces and laws. May actually want to do it when it is dark. It is not legal most places. But, buy some degreaser. LEt it set on a semi-warm engine, then hose it off.

Put a plastic bag over the distributor and the intake/carb.
yes, you can wash it. Just dont spray it on the air filter or aircleaner cover, or the carb ( if it has carbs). That would flood it and it wont start.
its ok if the engine is cold
