Are you supposed to clean your private parts with a wash cloth or your hand?

You know like put soap on your hand and clean the area really well or are you supposed to use a wash cloth and do that. Also I have noticed around certain times during my ovulation cycle that my urine will have a strong garlic like scent, but then as i get my period, the smell dissappears. I believe it is normal bc it always happens and then goes away. Is that normal?

The reason i asked about the wash cloth vs. using your hand is bc someone told me that using your and to cleanse the area won't get rid of the dead skin cells there. That's why i am confused.Are you supposed to clean your private parts with a wash cloth or your hand?
I wash the area with my hand because it is gentler on that area than if I tried to use a face towel or other small type towel for helping to clean the area.





As for if one should wash the area with their hand vs a wash cloth that is a matter of personal choice, but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
